Ms Tuminah Sapawi was recently appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Singapore Muslim Women’s Association, also known as Persatuan Pemudi Islam Singapura or Singapore Muslim Women’s
PPIS is a non-profit organisation dedicated to working with women of all ages in carrying out their multiple roles in society.
Mdm Tuminah brings with her over three decades of experience
working with the community, starting as a journalist in both English and Malay media, before joining the civil service in 2008. As Senior Assistant Director with the Ministry of Social and Family Development, she oversees policies and programmes focused on strengthening Malay families as well as the vulnerable groups within the community.
